P.B.A. Local #205 Members Collect
Groceries for Those In Need
|
|
On a cold and blustery December 10,
2007, members of Hillsborough P.B.A. Local #205 once
again, answered the call for help for those in need and
conducted their "Annual Stuff The Bus Campaign."
For those hermits out there who have never seen the
P.B.A. conduct it's "Stuff The Bus" drive,
allow us to explain to you just what it is.
|
|

PBA Local #205 members
and their spouses, along with NJ 101.5 radio, kick-off
the "Stuff The Bus" campaign at the Hillsborough
Shop-Rite.
|
Each year, around the holidays, the
Food Bank at the Township's Office of Social Services
finds itself in need of replenishing its pantry.
The "Annual Stuff The Bus Campaign" is
designed to do just that. Members of the P.B.A.
Local #205, acquire a full sized school bus, which is
generously donated by Dennis Valcheck, owner of the
Valcheck Bus Company. The bus is then parked in
front of Shop-Rite at the Nelson's Corner Shopping
Center and people come out and donate food items,
over-the-counter medicines, baby products, etc.
Our goal each year is to "stuff the bus" to
capacity and do our best to replenish the Township
pantry.
|
|
 |
 |
|
"This year Local #205 members were able to
'stuff the bus' until it was full." stated Campaign
Chairman Chris Kennedy.
|
|
The members of Hillsborough
P.B.A Local #205 would like to thank Dennis Valcheck,
once again, for his help each year with
this campaign. We would also like to thank all those in
the community who helped us by donating items to this drive.
Without your help, we would not have the success that we have
had in the past. It reinforces the notion that the people
in this community are ready to step up and help us to help those
in need. Thank you.

P.B.A
Local #205 Awards Scholarship To
Hillsborough High School Senior

|
Each year, one of the ways P.B.A.
Local #205 gives something back to our community, is by
awarding a $1000.00 scholarship to a deserving
Hillsborough High School senior. This award is not
only intended to help defray the rising costs of a
college education, but also to reward the student for
their contributions to the Hillsborough community.
The

the student who distinguishes themselves both
academically and socially and who expresses a desire to
